Apple has just announced its brand new phones, the iPhone 17 series. That's three refreshed versions of existing models and also the brand-new iPhone 17 Air, that takes the place of the iPhone Plus. If waiting in line on release day isn’t really your style, and you still wish to get your hands on one right away, you will be able to place a pre-order for the iPhone 17, 17 Pro Max, 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Air from 10pm AEST on September 12, before the September 19 release date. The iPhone 17 features a redesigned look with a slightly larger 6.3-inch display and slimmer bezels. And after much anticipation (and a ton of grumbling), the base iPhone finally gets a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, Apple’s new A19 chip is more powerful and also more optimized, particularly when combined with Apple Intelligence. If you are upgrading from an older iPhone, you will experience a significant bump in speed and smoother gaming thanks to ProMotion.
On the camera front, you'll find a 48MP Fusion main camera (shooting 24MP photos by default) and a 2x telephoto lens. The device’s ultra-wide camera also features an upgrade to 48MP, making macro photography more detailed and much more refined.
For those looking to upgrade to the iPhone 17, the good news is that there are already plenty of case options available, thanks to retailers like Campad Electronics, which has listed a comprehensive collection of cases for all iPhone 17 models. This ensures you can get the ideal match to go with your new iPhone, with a huge variety of styles, materials and price points to choose from – making it simple to find a case that suits your budget and style.
